Autumn is upon us. The leaves are turning and there is a nip in the air. My partner Kim
and I are harvesting the last of the tomatoes and basil in the garden, and I put a pumpkin out on the front steps. It is a time of change
before
the long days of winter are here.
As you know, from time to time I appeal to you--our alumni--to consider
investing in new leadership by making a gift to Rockwood.
Because partnership is a two way street, I want to let you know how
your past donations have supported an amazing array of new leaders--and
to ask those of you who have never donated to Rockwood to consider a
gift now by investing in the next generation of leadership.
Look at how your gift has helped Rockwood just in this year alone. We have:
Rockwood believes that nonprofit leadership can and should reflect the
diverse communities in which we live and work, so to keep our trainings
affordable we typically underwrite 50% to 80% of the cost of all our
trainings. To continue to do this, we need your support.
I invite you to join me as a Rockwood Sustainer by making a donation of
$10, $20 or $50 a month on your credit card by clicking here.
It's safe and protected information--and your donation will support the
participation of hundreds of fellow activists, organizers, and policy
advocates who want and need the tools and skills that Rockwood
trainings provide.
What we learned from the evaluation we shared with you in
last month's
newsletter, is that leadership matters--and is one of the best
investments one can make to support progressive social change. Those
who came before you made it possible for you to become an alumnae/i.
I'm asking you to return the favor, and make it possible for another
leader to follow your footsteps.
Change matters. You matter. Leadership matters--please join me by giving back
today.
