Transfer/Cancellation Policy

We understand that schedules for social change leaders shift with their work. We have developed this transfer and cancellation policy to accommodate that reality as well as maintain Rockwood’s sustainability.

Transferring to another session

If you are enrolled in a public program, such as the Art of Leadership or Advanced Art of Leadership, and would like to transfer your enrollment to the same program at a later date, please notify Rockwood as soon as possible in order to enable applicants on the waiting list to participate. You can transfer only once and within six months of the original training. The transfer fee is $50.

If you do not transfer your enrollment to a new session within six months, your enrollment will be cancelled and you will not be reimbursed your tuition or room & board.

If you request a transfer 30 days or more prior to the start date of the program in which you were accepted and are approved to transfer to another session, we will determine the new room & board based on the following guidelines. If the room & board fee of the transfer is less than the initial fee, Rockwood will reimburse you the balance minus the transfer fee. If the room & board fee for the training you transfer to is more than the fee of the training you previously enrolled in, Rockwood will invoice you the difference plus the transfer fee.

If circumstances prevent your attendance and you would like to request another leader take your place in the training, please make arrangements with Rockwood at training@rockwoodleadership.org. All transfers must be approved by Rockwood.

Cancellations

Payment for full tuition and room & board  is due two weeks after being accepted into the program. If you are accepted less than 4 weeks before the start of the program, your payment for tuition and room & board is due within 3 business days of your acceptance letter. We cannot guarantee enrollment until payment is received. 

Rockwood must receive notice of cancellation by email. It should include the name of the participant, training date and location. If we do not receive a notice of cancellation by the start date and time of your program, your training fee will not be refundable. Otherwise, the following policy applies:

For programs (e.g. Fellowships, and the Leading from the Inside Out Yearlong) that involve multiple trainings, there are no refunds or transfers after the first session.

Rockwood reserves the right to cancel a program at any time. If Rockwood cancels a program, you will receive a full refund for tuition and room & board.
